essastone and Laminex a great design partnership
Recently completed Bulimba House in Brisbane, demonstrates our Modern & Co style with a simple palette of timber, whites and greys throughout the home that adds a pure sense of warmth.
Showcasing both essastone and Laminex, it is one of the first projects to apply the brand new essastone range by Laminex – a sophisticated collection of durable engineered stone surfaces made with up to 95% natural quartz.
Showcasing the company’s qualities and attributes to existing and prospective clients, was of utmost importance to award-winning builders, Space Constructions; when designing and building this beautiful home.
“We knew that combining essastone and Laminex would help us achieve the right colour scheme and functionality needed for this contemporary build. It was suitable for a range of surfaces in the home and enabled us to very easily create long-lasting, stylish interiors for everyday use,” says Bob Antic, Principal at Space Constructions.
Bob and his business partner Andy Tomic, chose Laminex Australia products to help bring their vision of a contemporary home that ‘highlights the clever use of space’, to life.
“We wanted to make all spaces – from the kitchen, to the bathroom, to the study – look modern and sophisticated, without compromising on quality,” says Antic.
Featuring many different building materials from the Laminex range, Bulimba House demonstrates how you can achieve a high end aesthetic appeal.
The central kitchen space, which uses essastone in Concrete Pezzato, naturally complements the various other Laminex products used for joinery such as Laminex Impressions textured surfaces in Sublime Teak Riven finish, Laminex Impressions textured surfaces in Burnished Wood Nuance finish and Laminex in Seasoned Oak Natural finish.
Antic chose Concrete Pezzato for it’s weathered look – a revolutionary new finish exclusive to essastone which reflects the appearance and tactility of natural concrete, unevenly weathered by the elements.
“The beauty of this unique finish means your projects can feature the authentic concrete look, without the cost and complexity of working with real concrete,” explains Antic.
Featuring essastone in White Concrete for the benchtops in the bathrooms and powder room and essastone in Fino Venato for the benchtop in the study, demonstrates how essastone’s variety of decors can seamlessly integrate with a selection of Laminex products.
“The tonality and texture of the new essastone decors complement the extensive Laminex colour palette, providing our architect and team of builders a complete design solution in the planning and designing phase,” says Antic.
Since completion in 2016, this 6-star rated home has been entered into the 2016 HIA awards for Best Home, the winners will be announced on 4th November. For further information on Space Constructions visit http://www.spaceconstructions.com.au/
